Here are simple instructions from Salty
to help you use
the enhanced CD you'll find on the inside back cover of your book.
 Music
instructions
Click here for a
list of the tracks and song titles.
Standard audio
music player - insert CD into your CD player and play Salty's Songs of the Sea just as you
would any other music CD.
Computer audio
music player - insert CD into your computer and open your audio music program (this
varies depending on what programs you have and where they are located). Hit
'play' to start with track 1 or select the track of your choice.
If you have any problems playing your
music CD or need additional instructions,

Printable
coloring book files, Adobe PDF, instructions

Insert CD into
your computer. Open Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you don't have this program, it is
available as a quick and easy free download at:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html. You may then open
and print pages cb1-full adobe through cb16-full adobe ('cb' stands for coloring
book). With the Acrobat Reader, you can resize the coloring pages or print them
'as is' which is a full 8.5" x 11" page in portrait format.

Computer

Insert CD into
your computer. Open a painting program or install one on your computer. Most PC
operating systems come with a painting program in Accessories, and most MAC
computers have a painting or graphics program loaded.
Once you're in
the program, open any of the BMP files, cb1-full through cb16-full ('cb' stands
for coloring book). Following the program's instructions, try different ways of
coloring the marine fantasy pictures. The level of challenge is up to you--you
can keep it simple or make very detailed customized art.
Help Tips:
 Fill: Select
the 'Fill' tool, then click your mouse in the section you want to color. If the
color you've chosen fills more area than you want it to, it means that the
section you are trying to color is not 'closed'. Fill tools require that the
selected area not include open lines. When this happens, try the next tip.
Drawing:
Select a drawing tool. Use the drawing tool to close in the section where you
want the particular color. You can also use the drawing tool to cover over the
black line of the coloring pages, creating a beautiful 'custom' look.
Zoom: Try
zooming in and making the area you are working with very large on your screen.
In this way, you can make a very detailed painting on your computer.
