COMPUTER GRAPHICS TRAINING

CD-ROM Coloring Files are PDFs (Adobe Reader) & BMPs (Bit Map)

PDFs can be printed on plain paper and colored with pencil, paints, etc.

BMPs can be colored on the computer using software.

Most computers have free software for computer painting (Paint Box)

Load the CD into your computer. Locate the PDF Folder. Using Adobe Acrobat Reader, open your choice of pictures. If you don't have Adobe Reader installed it is available as a free download at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html.

Suggested activity: Let kids chose a favorite picture and have a coloring contest!

BMP FILES - To practice computer graphics painting

Load the CD into your computer. Using a painting or graphics program, open your choice of pictures. Follow the program's painting instructions. (If you have problems finding a program on your computer that opens these files, send a message to info@saltysworld.com and we'll help you get started.)

Important Computer Coloring Tip: With your 'Fill' tool selected, click your mouse in the section you want to color. If the color you've chosen fills more area than you want it to, select a drawing tool. Use the drawing tool to close in the section where you want the particular color (the 'Fill' tool colors a closed area). In this way, you can zoom in and make a very detailed painting on your computer.

Note: Take your time and use your graphics painting program's help menus to learn about various art technique. The possibilities are endless! You'll be amazed when you print your finished picture on a color printer.
